NEW YORK - The number of Internet users who search for their own names on the Web has nearly tripled since 2001, according to a Pew study.
The survey shows 65 percent of Internet users aged 18-29 used an online search engine to research themselves compared with an average of 57 percent across the entire population.
Internet users 65 and older are the fastest growing segment, showing an four-fold increase since 2001.
