BP oil spill drags Florida real estate to edge of the abyss

MIAMI - Florida property owners are still battling one of the biggest real estate busts of all time, and now BP’s oil disaster is threating to damage or destroy most of the state’s beaches along with the main reason to have waterfront property.

Strong currents in the Gulf of Mexico have the potential to carry large amounts of oil to Key West, then north to Miami Beach and beyond.

Anyone thinking of buying a dream home in Palm Beach would not be considered unwise to hold off on the purchase until more facts are known.
